Objectives of this course

On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Provide an overview of the prevalence and implications of mental health problems worldwide.
  2. Discuss the technological mediums of smartphones, social media, chatbots, and virtual reality as innovations in the digital psychiatry revolution.
  3. Discuss recent research informing the clinical evidence-based uses of digital health technologies (DHTs) in various mental health contexts.
  4. Identify the forefront challenges of implementing DHTs in mental health care.
  5. Recommend possible solutions to address the implementation challenges of DHTs in mental health care.
