Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Elaborate on the meaning, prevalence, and sequelae of acquired brain injuries (ABIs).
- Discuss the terms “lifespace” and “occupational participation”.
- Describe and compare the lifespace and occupational participation of drivers and non-drivers following ABI.
- Describe and compare the frequency, purpose, and mode of travel, as well as the travel companions, of drivers and non-drivers following ABI.
- Identify strategies for the facilitation of occupational participation and adaptation of people with ABIs.
