Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the clinical manifestations of Parkinson’s disease (PD).
- Discuss the benefits and challenges associated with both conventional and non-conventional forms of exercise for individuals with PD.
- Evaluate the efficacy of boxing for individuals with PD in terms of their balance, mobility, and quality of life.
- Identify barriers and facilitators that may influence individuals with PD’s participation in boxing programs.
- Recommend strategies to enhance the safety and efficacy of boxing as a non-conventional form of exercise for individuals with PD.
