Objectives of this course

On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Compare high-risk infants and physiologically stable infants in terms of early identification and intervention.
  • Describe the four domains of newborn functioning.
  • Discuss maternal and infant factors that may influence the functioning of newborns.
  • Elaborate on the activities and categories identified as a priority for inclusion in an early intervention mother-infant dyad-based group intervention programme.
  • List the guiding principles identified as a priority for inclusion in an early intervention mother-infant dyad-based group intervention programme.
