Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the cause and clinical presentation of trigger finger.
- Discuss the efficacy of splinting as a form of treatment for trigger finger.
- Describe the treatment approaches and preferred splint designs and regimes used by occupational therapists when treating clients with trigger finger.
- Discuss the factors that occupational therapists consider before and/or during the treatment of trigger finger.
- Discuss the outcome measures that occupational therapists use to evaluate their treatment of trigger finger.
