Objectives of this course

On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Understand the three cognitive foundations for learning to read
  2. Recognize the causal connections between deficits in these cognitive skills and reading difficulties.
  3. Gain knowledge of suitable teaching interventions to remediate letter-sound knowledge and phonemic awareness deficits and improve reading skills.
