Objectives of this course

On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Elaborate on the difficulties that individuals with ADHD often encounter.
  • Discuss the processes associated with executive functions.
  • Describe how cognitive training interventions can be implemented in therapy.
  • Discuss the efficacy of cognitive training interventions for executive functions in children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD.
  • Discuss the transfer effects and possible maintenance of gains of cognitive training interventions for executive functions in children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD.
  • Describe the factors that might influence the outcome of cognitive training interventions for children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD.
