Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the theories behind sensory integration and neuroplasticity.
- Describe the concept, purpose, and implementation of the multisensory environment.
- Describe some of the challenges experienced by children with self-regulation difficulties.
- List the diagnoses and age groups selected as suitable for intervention in the Snoezelen® room.
- Describe the level, duration, and frequency of change in children’s arousal, behaviour, and scholastic performance following occupational therapy intervention in the Snoezelen® room.
