Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Analyze the ethical differences between a positive and negative concept of health in the context of health promotion, and apply this understanding to occupational therapy practices.
- Evaluate the use of nudging in public health and healthcare settings, considering its ethical implications and potential impact on trust in therapeutic relationships.
- Develop strategies to empower patients and clients in healthcare, replacing the focus on patient autonomy with empowerment, and fostering greater control, coping skills, and well-being through occupational therapy interventions.
